A live WordPress Q & A Session

Late in January, we headed off to Italy for our first retreat of 2019. As part of this, we wanted to offer a live WordPress Q&A session. It didn’t quite go to plan due to some technical issues, but we did manage to record our answers to some questions.

Technical issues

Our apartment in LongiarĂ¹, Italy was quite remote. You can read all about our stay in our blog post about our retreat to the Italian Dolomites, and due to the remoteness, the internet connection was not good enough to do a live broadcast. Therefore we have to think of something else.

As we had some questions submitted to us already over Twitter, we decided that we would record us doing what we would have done on the Q&A session and this post is going to display the recordings.

Video introduction

Question 1 - What is WordPress multisite?

For question 1, the Highrise team answer a question about WordPress multisite including what it is, why you might want to use it and some examples of WordPress multisite networks they have created

Question 2 - How do I find a WordPress developer and how do I know if they are going to be good and reliable?

Second up, the team answer a question about how you can find a good WordPress developer to build your site, perhaps based on some of the designs that you have created, or have had created by a designer.

Question 3 - Do I need project management as a line item in a project proposal?

Question 3 of our WordPress Q&A session asks about whether a project management line item in a project proposal can or should be removed.

The Highrise team outline why project management is essential for a successful project and look at some of the ways in which project management happens at Highrise Digital.

Questions 4 and 5 - Personal projects and remote working

For the final two questions of the session, we looked at questions on personal projects and remote working.

How we filmed the WordPress Q&A

We hope you enjoyed watching the videos for the questions we answered and don’t forget if you have a question you would like us to answer we are currently running our AskHighrise series of videos.
